2010 Paris Motor Show -
Kyle Fortune, Shane O' Donoghue, Jack Carfrae, Mark Nichol, Max Earey

Well folks, that's that, the press day is done and dusted. Get yourself a cuppa and check out what was on show:
2011 Abarth Punto Evo esseesse.   Abarth

Although there were no all-new models on the Abarth stand in Paris, the 500C and Punto Evo were on display sporting hardcore esseesse upgrades.

2011 Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon.   Alfa Romeo

A mildly revised Alfa 159 line-up appeared in Paris, along with the advent of the company's new dual-clutch gearbox, dubbed 'TCT'. MiTo and Giulietta models appeared on the stand, displaying the new transmission.

2010 Audi e-tron Spyder concept.   Audi

Prior to the show, the A7 Sportback was the only confirmed new car on Audi's stand. The hottest version of the A1 - the 178bhp 1.4 TFSI S Line - made its debut. The stunning quattro concept and the equally jaw-dropping e-tron Spyder wowed the crowds, along with the cool R8 GT.

2011 Bentley Continental GT.   Bentley

Bentley had already revealed its updated Continental GT before the show, but that was all from the prestigious British manufacturer this year. It looks good in the metal.

2010 BMW 6 Series Coupé Concept.   BMW

The BMW stand was a busy one, as the X3 made its first appearance in public. The crowds were also drawn to the gorgeous new 6 Series Coupé 'concept'. Finally, BMW pulled the wraps off the popular 5 Series Touring M Sport model.

2011 Chevrolet Aveo.   Chevrolet

The first of four world debuts for Chevrolet was a production-ready Orlando. It's a seven-seat MPV based on the Chevrolet Cruze. The five-door version of the Cruze itself was the second debut; a new Aveo supermini the third; and an all-new Captiva was the final car.

2010 Citroen Lacoste concept.   Citroen

Production car debuts from Citroen included the new C4 and crossover cousin, the DS4. Facelifted versions of the Picasso and Grand Picasso were also on show. The strange Lacoste made its debut; it's a glorious concept car for the sake of it, designed in association with the French clothes maker. The DS3 WRC was revealed for the first time too.

2012 Exagon Furtive-eGT.   Exagon

Who on Earth is Exagon? Well, it's a French company with plenty of racing experience that's decided to have a little go at making a road car - an electric coupé, no less. The Furtive-eGT has two 168bhp electric motors and should be very, very fast.

2011 Ferrari SA APERTA.   Ferrari

The big news on Ferrari's stand was the limited edition (and already sold out) SA APERTA (aka the 599 Roadster). A new version of the California sporting stop-start technology also made its debut.

Fisker Karma.   Fisker

While the appearance of the Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid at a motor show is nothing unusual, the fact that it's the first factory built car is. Key figures: 403bhp, 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds, 125mph all-out, 100mpg and CO2 of just 83g/km. Can't wait to drive it.

2011 Ford Focus ST.   Ford

The all-new Focus was the most important car on Ford's stand. It was the first outing for the full production-ready line-up, including hatchback, estate and a new Focus ST. The latter sports a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine in place of its predecessor's charismatic 2.5-litre five-cylinder unit. A facelifted Mondeo and the new C-Max also featured, as did the 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC racer.

2011 Honda Jazz Hybrid.   Honda

Honda has transplanted the IMA hybrid system from its Insight model into the Jazz supermini MPV, which made its world debut in Paris.

2011 Hyundai ix20.   Hyundai

Hyundai pulled the wraps off its new ix20 mini-MPV/crossover, which is basically a mildly restyled Kia Venga. It was also joined on stage by the facelifted i10 city car.

2010 Infiniti Performance Line G Cabrio Concept.   Infiniti

No all-new metal from the youngest executive car player in the UK, but buyers will be very interested to see the IPL G Cabrio Concept. The Paris debutant is a sportier version of the G37 Cabrio with a free breathing exhaust. Lovely. Oh, and there's the M35h hybrid 5 Series rival too.

2010 Jaguar C-X75 concept.   Jaguar

What was a closely guarded secret is no longer. Jaguar unveiled a spectacular new concept car in Paris - the C-X75. It apparently previews the company's new design direction, though we don't expect a turbine-driven range-extender from Jaguar anytime soon.

2010 Kia POP concept.   Kia

The fast-moving Korean company revealed the POP electric concept car in Paris. It's a small three-seat city runabout. Also on hand was the European specification Optima saloon, set to replace the Magentis.

2010 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept.   Lamborghini

The Raging Bull unveiled the devilish Sesto Elemento concept - a super lightweight model that paves the way for Lambos of the future.

2011 Range Rover Evoque.   Land Rover

Star of the Land Rover stand was undoubtedly the slick looking Range Rover Evoque. We've already seen the three-door model, but the company also confirmed plans for a five-door version. We also checked out the new 2011MY Range Rover and a significantly updated Freelander - which will be offered for the first time in front-wheel drive guise.

2010 Lexus CT 200h.   Lexus

The fanfare on the Lexus stand surrounded the showroom-ready CT 200h hybrid hatchback, though there was an updated IS line-up to check out, including the more efficient IS 200d model.

2013 Lotus Elan.   Lotus

By far the most surprising manufacturer at the Paris Motor Show was Lotus. The British sports car maker pulled the wraps off an amazing six new models, reviving some much loved old names while it was at it. The Elan, Elite, Esprit, Eterne, 2013 Elise and a city car concept were all unveiled. The new Evora S and Evora IPS were all but ignored.

2011 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale.   Maserati

A lighter, more powerful version of the GranTurismo made its debut in Paris. It's called the MC Stradale and takes inspiration from Maserati's racers.

2011 Mazda2.   Mazda

The competent little Mazda2 received a nip and tuck in time for the show. Most obvious is its new nose, but there have been changes under the skin too. Other news includes the availability of an efficient new 1.6-litre turbodiesel engine in the Mazda3 and recently launched Mazda5 MPV.

2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS.   Mercedes-Benz

Merc introduced the revised CL as well as an all-new CLS. There were plenty of new Bluetec and BlueEfficiency improvements and the introduction of more safety technology as Mercedes aims to make its cars almost impossible to crash. An electric A-Class was also unveiled that will be trialled in Europe.

2011 MINI Countryman WRC.   MINI

Bizarrely, one of MINI's centrepieces was a selection of customised electric scooters. Unfortunately, the production-ready MINI Roadster and Coupé didn't appear in Paris, but we were pleased to see the WRC version of the MINI Countryman. Obviously the recently facelifted line-up featured prominently too.

2011 Mitsubishi i-MiEV.   Mitsubishi

The only car from Mitsubishi was the i-MiEV electric city car that debuted in proper European specification.

2010 Nissan Townpod concept.   Nissan

The new Nissan Micra featured heavily, as did the Juke. A mild refresh of the X-Trail also appeared, but the big news at Nissan was the Leaf - a fully electric car that'll be in showrooms next year. Nissan's unusual new Townpod electric concept should maintain the interest in electric cars, too. On the warmer side of things, the Japanese firm previewed the 2011 GT-R.

2010 Peugeot HR1 concept.   Peugeot

Peugeot's big news was the arrival of the world's first diesel-electric hybrid car. It's the 3008 HYbrid4 and it really is a promising idea, with 200bhp, four-wheel drive and yet emissions of less than 100g/km. A Nissan Juke crossover rival - the HR1 concept - was also be on the French firm's stand, as was the 508 - a new saloon and wagon replacing the aging 407. It exhibits Peugeot's new design direction, which thankfully drops the big dopey gawping fish face for something altogether more aesthetically pleasing. An electric scooter kept the two-wheeled end of things up, too.

2011 Porsche 911 Speedster.   Porsche

The new 911 Carrera GTS and 911 Speedster bowed in at the Paris show. The Porsche stand was busy with the completely new Cayenne, a new V6 engine choice in the Panamera and various versions of the 911 - the Turbo S and GT2 RS - making their motor show debuts. Rumour has it that Porsche may be getting into Formula One.

2010 Renault DeZir concept car.   Renault

Renault exhibited its cool DeZir electric sports concept in Paris, the show car not just previewing future technologies, but a new design language for the French firm. The rather more showroom-ready (and facelifted) Laguna was present too. The good-looking Zoe Z.E. concept previewed the next Clio and the weird Twizy Z.E. was on display in a myriad of colours.

2011 Saab 9-3 ePower.   Saab

It'll take Saab a while to build up momentum under new owners Spyker, but it's making a good start, with more efficient engines and its first electric car, the 9-3 SportWagon ePower.

2010 SEAT IBE concept.   SEAT

The Spanish-blooded arm of the Volkswagen Group featured the new Alhambra MPV, along with a revised Exeo. The biggest news was the IBE electric concept though, which previews the design direction for the next Leon.

2010 Skoda Octavia Green E Line concept.   Skoda

Paris is a quiet one for VW's Czech arm - literally. The company revealed the Octavia Green E Line, an electric family car due to begin real world testing next year. Lithium ion battery, no real impact on space... you know the drill by now.

2011 Smart Ecoscooter.   Smart

There are big plans afoot to change the remit of the Smart brand to be one of mobility rather than just cars. The first sign of that is the Smart Ecoscooter concept, which is powered by a lithium ion battery. A Smart eBicycle was also wheeled out.

2011 Volvo V60 R-Design.   Volvo
