In the UK at least, Kia's Rio has been a bit of an oddball. We drove it and thought it was a bit of old-fashioned (and exceptionally good value-for-money) fun, though most of you will probably only remember that the Rio could be 'bought' for £1. Surprisingly, the replacement shown at the Detroit Show is positively mainstream.
