his is the '982' Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, a production race car that motorsport drivers and teams can order from the German manufacturer. It'll cost around £156,360 and is available to order now, with customers around the world taking first deliveries in February. However, unlike the road-going 982 718 Cayman, this Clubsport uses a flat-six petrol engine rather than a turbocharged four - a 3.8, more specifically, developing 425hp and 425Nm. That means it is 40hp more potent than the original GT4 Clubsport, based on the 918 Cayman, which was launched three years ago. Porsche went on to deliver 421 examples of that version and is hoping for the same sort of success from the new one, which features a drool-inducing spec sheet that also includes one intriguing fact - some of the body parts are made out of natural fibres, such as the doors, which are constructed from agricultural by-product fibres from flax and even hemp. 'Cannabis fibre', anyone...?
