Lexus has updated the RC sports coupe for the 2019MY, with the new car due to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. Using the gorgeous LC as its inspiration, the RC now sports bumpers fore and aft with more intricate detailing at the corners: at the front, these vertical slats echo the line of the headlamps, while at the rear a pair of air ducts are drafted in. New colours, including Flare Yellow and Sky Blue, join the palette, while the radiator grille's mesh changes design from top to bottom. Inside, detail changes are made to the console and trims, but perhaps the best news relates to the chassis - the new Lexus RC has revised dampers, stiffer suspension bushings, better aerodynamics and 19-inch wheels on grippier rubber, all of which are said to improve its handling responses and its directional stability. Finally, the throttle response on the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine has been improved, so the RC might finally be able to emerge from the dynamic shadow of the BMW 4 Series Coupe.
