This exciting-looking thing is the Infiniti Prototype 10, a concept car that the upmarket arm of Nissan unveiled at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It's described as an electrified speedster and is said to encapsulate Infiniti's 'desire to deliver driving pleasure and thrilling performance from electrified powertrains'. The Prototype 10 for Pebble Beach is a single-seater, with its design language taken from the Infiniti Q Inspiration concept; the Japanese marque says this latest concept car hints at future design cues for the brand as a whole. Karim Habib, Infiniti's design director, went further and said the Prototype 10 'echoes the layout and design of some of the most evocative car designs of all time', where power was 'celebrated' through high-powered, single-seat competition cars. Infiniti is planning to electrify all of its new production cars from 2021 onwards, so the Prototype 10 is an indicator of the brand's future in many ways.
