What's the news?
Renault has announced its first special edition of the summer, the 'Limited' versions of the Mégane and Scenic. These come with extra equipment valued at £1,000, but only cost £500 more than the Dynamique TomTom models on which they are based. All variants can be ordered now, priced from £18,250, with deliveries due in September.
All three Mégane body styles - five-door hatch, Sport Tourer estate and three-door Coupé - are available with the Limited specification, as are the Scenic and Grand Scenic (but not the Scenic XMOD). Extra features include a panoramic sunroof, tinted rear windows and gloss black power folding door mirrors. Special 'Limited' badges, door tread plates and upholstery are also part of the package.
Engine choice is between three petrol and two diesel units; the former comprises a 1.6-litre, 110hp unit and 1.2-litre turbocharged motors with 115- or - for the Scenic only - 130hp. Diesels are available with either 110- or 130hp.
Optional extras include 17-inch, Pragma alloy wheels for £310 and R-Link for £200 on the Scenic or £300 in the Mégane. R-Link is a touchscreen system that integrates with the car, smartphones and the cloud.
