What's the news?
Last weekend, Aston Martin participated in the Lord Mayor's Show in London. Six cars took to the city's streets, including one with patriotic Union Jack inspired bodywork. The sports car company appeared in the show at the invitation of The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers of London.
A Vanquish coupé carried the red, white and blue of the UK flag to promote the Government's GREAT Britain campaign - to promote the best of Britain and attract investment, students and tourism to the country. Joining the flag-waving Aston on the three-and-a-half-mile cavalcade were the recently launched Vanquish Volante, the Rapide S and the DB9.
Global Brand Communications Director at Aston Martin, Janette Green, said: "To see our sports cars taking part in such an historic and famous event as The Lord Mayor's Show is a special occasion for everyone associated with Aston Martin.
"I would like to thank the Worshipful Company for their kind invitation, and hope all those who saw the cars felt a little of the pride that I know we at Gaydon share in being part of this remarkable event."

The Lord Mayor's Show dates back almost 800 years to the time of King John. Every year the newly elected Lord Mayor of London has to leave the City of London and travel up the Thames to Westminster to swear loyalty to the Crown. Over the years the journey has grown into a modern festival attracting cheering crowds as the procession travels between Bank and Aldwych.
