McLaren Automotive has teamed up with Xbox to offer a 'money can't buy' prize as part of McLaren's anniversary celebrations; the winner will get to experience the Goodwood Hill from the passenger seat of the McLaren P1.
The competition is being run in collaboration with Turn10 Studios, creators of Forza Motorsport 5. A McLaren P1 appeared on stage at E3, the annual video games conference in Los Angeles, for the launch of the new Forza game last week. Runner's up prizes of a trip to the McLaren Technology Centre and a McLaren Gift Pack are also up for grabs.
Final development of the McLaren P1 is underway at the moment with the first cars due for delivery later this year. Only 375 examples of the 3.8-litre, 916hp supercar will be built.
Greg Levine, Sales and Marketing Director, McLaren Automotive explains: "This is an exciting time for both McLaren and Microsoft, with both brands launching true game-changers on to the market in the shape of the McLaren P1 and Forza Motorsport 5 on the Xbox One. We share key values, employ cutting-edge technologies and both strive to innovate through ground-breaking methods. The McLaren P1 is the culmination of 50 years of race-winning technology and expertise, and is the perfect fit as the 'hero' for the latest edition of the highest-rated racing franchise of the past 10 years."
