Peugeot has announced prices and trim levels for the 2008 crossover. The range starts at £12,995 and cars are due to arrive in the UK on 18th July. Four trim levels are available: Access+, Active, Allure and Feline. Each model costs less than £1,000 over the equivalent 208.
The entry-level Access+ version comes with the choice of Peugeot's new three-cylinder, 83hp petrol engine or 71hp, 1.4-litre diesel power. Standard features include roof bars, air conditioning and cruise control with a speed limiter.
Upgrading to the Active (from £13,895) adds the option of 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The specification includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel and DAB digital radio. Allure models cost an extra £1,100 and can be identified by stainless steel front and rear scuff plates, chrome door mirrors and tinted rear windows. Allure and Feline versions with 1.6-litre engines come with PSA's 'Grip Control' system to optimise traction in poor conditions.
Prices for the Feline variant start at £17,450 and this model does without the lower-powered petrol and diesel engines. Seventeen-inch alloy wheels are fitted and there is a glass roof panel with electric blind. Leather trim is available at extra cost with the 'Mistral Ambiance' package.
