Lamborghini will be celebrating its 50th anniversary as a supercar manufacturer next week by hosting a massive tour of Italy.
On Tuesday 7th May at 10:00, 350 - yes, that's 350 - Lamborghinis will fire up their engines in Piazza Costello, Milan and set off in the largest convoy of Lambos ever achieved. The trip will take five days to complete and will pass through places like Lombardia, Lazio, Rome and Bologna as it heads for its final destination at Sant'Agata Bolognese where the remainder of the celebrations will take place.
The figures for the tour simply boggle the mind. The convoy will stretch a massive 2.8 miles end-to-end; and will collectively be developing over 190,000hp. Every model ever produced by the company is expected to be represented at the reunion; ranging from the newest Aventador to the oldest 350GT.
Thankfully, no one's bothered to work out how many gallons of fuel will be used over the five-day period; and because we are all perfectly aware how reliable Italian supercars are, we can pretty much guarantee that there will be a fair few examples that will drop out along the way.
More details about the tour are set to be revealed next week.
