Following on from the X-1 showcase last month at Pebble Beach, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has undertaken another project; this time involving both a MP4-12C and an incredibly rare and expensive F1.
The creation, known at MSO as 'Bespoke Project 8', came about after a very wealthy unnamed client wanted their new MP4-12C to visually match their existing F1. Both cars therefore now sport a bright white paint finish, with red detailing splashed across each model. Bespoke red and black alloy wheels have also been fitted to each car; and the MP4-12C has a unique front bumper, complete with new front air vents.
The colour scheme continues inside, where red and white leather seats face a similarly coloured leather and carbon fibre-trimmed dashboard. The door sills of the MP4-12C have 'Bespoke Project 8' printed on them - although it's unlikely the owner will forget that it's not a standard car.
Whether MSO has changed either of these models mechanically remains to be seen; although we can assume that the cost of simply visually altering these cars would not have been cheap.
This all begs the question - what wonders will MSO create next?
