Visitors to this year's August Bank Holiday CarFest were rewarded by a live action car chase sequence between the Jaguar XFR and a Ford Focus ST. The stunt was inspired by the upcoming movie 'The Sweeney', which features a high-octane chase between the same two cars.
Jaguar's flagship XF model is powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 putting out 510hp, which launches from 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds.
The event itself is brand new to the motoring calendar, thought up and organised by DJ, broadcaster and renowned Ferrari enthusiast, Chris Evans. CarFest is to be held at two separate events, one at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire and another at Chelmondeley Castle in Cheshire, which will run on 8th-9th September.
At the event last weekend, 15,000 spectators arrived to watch the chase sequence take place. The professional drivers of the two cars are part of the Paul Swift Precision Driving Company - owned and run by the son of precision driver, Russ Swift.
The Sweeney movie, starring Ray Winstone and Ben Drew (a.k.a. Plan B), is to be released on 12th September to UK cinemas.
