What's the news?
Two new Yaris variants have been introduced for the summer. Called Edition and Trend they come with a number of styling upgrades.
Exterior
Both models come with blacked out C-pillars, tinted rear windows and a choice of silver or white body colour for a 'floating roof' effect. The Edition is based on the T2 grade and comes with 15-inch, smoke finished alloys, front fog lamps and body colour mirrors and door handles. Trend versions build on the specification of the Yaris SR and get 16-inch wheels and a chromed exhaust outlet.
Interior
Edition models get a rev counter and leather gear knob. Manual air conditioning is an option. The Trend gets the option of Toyota Touch & Go multimedia system with satellite navigation.
Mechanicals
A 1.0-litre VVTi petrol engine with a five-speed manual gearbox is fitted to the Yaris Edition. The Trend comes with a 1.3-litre motor and, in five-door form, the option of a CVT automatic transmission.
Anything else?
Prices start at £11,695 for the three-door Yaris Edition with the Trend costing an extra £2,100. Both models can also be had in five-door form for £600 more.
