Britain's largest free-to visit motor show, Motorexpo, kicks off in Canary Wharf on Monday June 11. The show, now in its seventeenth year, looks to be bigger than before with over 250 vehicles on display from the likes of Bentley, Maserati, McLaren and Tesla. Expected to attract in excess of 425,000 people Motorexpo seems to have something to suit all tastes.
Stars of the show are likely to be the Jaguar XF Sportbrake and the all-new Mercedes-Benz A-Class both of which will make their UK debuts at the show. The 'Italian Zone' will be filled with supercars from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati while McLaren will bring the MP4-12C, Bentley the new Continental V8 and, to celebrate its twentieth anniversary, Jaguar will display an XJ220.
For the well-heeled attendees there will be an opportunity to flash the cash at the H&H auctions that will include what is believed to be the only Lamborghini Reventón in the UK and also an ultra-rare lightweight Jaguar E-Type.
Motorexpo is more than just a static show though and punters can book a test drive in any number of the cars on display and take them for a spin around the Canary Wharf business and shopping district. The Land Rover Experience Terrapod will give show goers the chance to take the latest Land Rover's over a purpose built off-road course while the RaceRoom will offer members of the public the opportunity to win a 'once in a lifetime' F1 experience.
With free parking, plenty of public transport and over 200 shops, cafes and restaurants to keep the other half amused there really is no excuse.
