Using a one-off super car as a basis for a styling package would not appear to make the greatest business sense, yet that has not stopped bespoke coachbuilder Prindiville. The London-based company has released details of a concept showcasing the work it would do to the Lamborghini Aventador J, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show a couple of months ago.
Well, we say concept, but in reality it is some nice drawings depicting styling upgrades that includes a new bumper, bonnet, rear diffuser, side skirts and rear wing that Prindiville says it
would offer to customers if the one-off Aventador J ever went into production.
Sadly, it won't ever make it to production, but that has not stopped Prindiville from offering a tuning package for the 6.5-litre V12 engine. Well we say tuning package, but really it is just a case of plucking figures from thin air and then passing them off as a remap and custom exhaust that sees power jump from the 700hp Lamborghini offers to 805hp and a resulting 0-62mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of over 220mph.
Also not content with the work Lamborghini did on the handling front, Prindiville says it would significantly lighten the Aventador J by replacing many of the original panels with light weight carbon fibre. Only it won't, as the Aventador J
will not make production.
Still, as a way of attracting attention to the eight limited edition Prindiville Aventador coupés that are currently for sale, this is not a bad attempt...
