The Peugeot 208 is ready to order now with prices starting at £9,995. Cars will be in showrooms from 28th June.
Customers can choose from five trim levels in three- and five-door body styles with the latter costing an extra £600. The most expensive model is the 'Ice Velvet' special edition, available only in the three-door body for £18,495.
Peugeot promises 'class leading' equipment levels. All versions come with front, side and curtain airbags as well as electric mirrors and 'follow me home' lights. Air conditioning comes with the Access+. The Active and higher grades get a seven-inch touch screen system for information and entertainment and inbuilt navigation is a £650 option.
Diesel power is available from £12,645 for the three-door 1.4 HDi Access+. The 1.6-litre diesel costs an extra £1,500 in conjunction with the mid-range Active specification.
The top, Feline version is priced from £15,109 to £17,845 depending on engine choice and door count. A choice of 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines come with this variant including a 156hp turbo petrol for the three-door. Until Peugeot confirms the future of the 208 GTi this is probably as close as the range gets to a performance version.
