Renault UK has confirmed prices and specifications for the freshly facelifted Twingo. Due to launch in February, the baby of the Renault range will carry an on-the-road price of £10,350 for the 1.2-litre 16v model in Dynamique trim. Capable of returning 55.4mpg on the combined cycle, the car's emissions of 119g/km means new purchasers will not have to pay for a road fund licence for the first year.
Boasting a front end that shows the French firm's new corporate identity the Twingo clearly has rivals such as the Fiat 500 in its sights and brings a level of customisation not seen in previous generations. Available in a range of colours such as Fuchsia and Bermuda Blue the Twingo and can be ordered with one of five roof decals and different colours for the door mirrors and side mouldings. There are also eight different alloy wheel options and - coming in April - an electrically-operated fabric sunroof.
Standard equipment includes cruise control, audio system with Bluetooth functionality and 'Luxe Carbon' seats with red stitching as well as independently sliding, 50/50-split rear seats that can extend the boot capacity from 230- to 959 litres when folded flat. Optional extras include climate control, upgraded iPod-compatible audio systems that enable the use of GPS navigation through an app developed by Renault, two Option Packs and a long list of exterior customisation accessories such as Renaultsport rear spoiler and a series of decals.
Details of the Twingo Renaultsport 133 'halo model' will be released closer to its launch in April.
