Vauxhall is targeting company car drivers with the latest Tech Line versions of the Astra and Insignia. Savings of nearly £200 are clamed to be possible compared to rival manufacturers' products.
Standard equipment on Tech Line cars includes satnav, DAB Radio, 17-inch alloy wheels and chrome window surrounds. Both the Astra and Insignia can be ordered as a five-door hatchback or estate.
A range of petrol and diesel engines are available. Vauxhall expects the 1.7-litre ecoFLEX diesel with stop-start to be a popular choice in the Astra. This unit is available in 110- and 130hp versions, both of which have CO2 emissions of 99g/km. As a result it qualifies for zero Vehicles Excise Duty and 100% first year capital allowance. It is also exempt from the London congestion charge.
The lowest emissions in the Insignia come from the 2.0-litre CDTI ecoFLEX engine, which combines a 160hp power output with 115g/km.
Prices for the Astra Tech Line start at £16,470 and £18,995 for the Insignia.
