Volvo has created a limited-run Inscription Edition of the C70 with special exterior and interior detailing. Just 2,000 examples a year will be built with the order book opening later this month.
The Inscription Edition can be identified by the high-gloss paint on the grille and chrome surrounds for the LED daytime running lights. Wheels are 18-inches in diameter with black detailing and polished spokes and rims. Three colours are offered: Ice White, Black Stone and metallic Black Sapphire.
Inside, the dashboard is covered in leather with contrasting stitching. There is also hide upholstery in Off Black or Calcite, again with contrasting stitching. The headrests are embroidered with the word 'Inscription' and there are special carpets. On the steering wheel, gear lever and centre stack there is aluminium inlay, with the option of Black or Nordic Light Oak inlay on the stack.
The engine options are both five-cylinder, 2.0-litre diesel units. The D3 boasts 148bhp while the D4 has 175bhp. Prices start at £33,855 for the D3 SE Inscription.
Volvo will exhibit the C70 Inscription at the 2011 Los Angeles International Auto show next week. The first cars are due to arrive in the UK by February 2012.
