It's all go for Jaguar at the
New York Auto Show as it reveals its facelifted XF and shows off a new 543bhp flagship XKR-S.
The XF now features headlamps similar in style to the Jaguar XJ's and there are LED lights set into the lenses. A lower bonnet is joined by a new front bumper with three air intakes, while new vents have been added to the front wings. There are also LED rear lights that now extend further across the width of the boot.
For the XFR, there's a new front air dam and bonnet vents either side of a power bulge. It also has new side skirts, redesigned 20-inch alloy wheels and a rear diffuser.
On the inside, the revised XF has new switches for the ventilation controls, reshaped front seats and screens set into the main dials to give information from the satellite navigation and stereo.
The engine range continues as before for the Jaguar XF, but with the addition of a 2.2-litre turbodiesel with 187bhp and 332lb.ft of torque. It's attached to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and uses a stop-start system to help offer 50mpg and 149g/km carbon dioxide emissions.
The new 2.2 turbodiesel XF costs from £30,950, while the XFR is £65,350.
Jaguar has also been working on the XK range, which receives new slimmer headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a larger front air intake with chrome grille and small air intakes either side of the grille.
A new horizontal air intake is set into the wings on either side of the XK too, while LED rear lights are joined by the famous Jaguar leaper badge for the first time on an XK. Inside, new sport seats are an option for XK customers and prices will start at £65,000 for the Coupé and £71,000 for the Convertible from September.
At the same time, the new XKR-S Coupé will go on sale with a 543bhp version of the XKR's supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine. It promises 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds (to the standard XKR's 4.8) and a top speed of 186mph. The XKR-S will cost from £97,000.
