Honda has revealed more details of the Jazz Hybrid, which will debut at the
Paris Motor Showthis week.
We first reported on the
petrol-electric Jazz back in August. Now Honda has released initial figures for fuel consumption and CO
2 emissions at 62.4mpg and 104g/km respectively. The Jazz still has to go through the official EU tests so those figures may change slightly.
The Jazz shares its 1.3-litre engine with the
Insight hybrid. By packaging the batteries under the boot floor Honda has managed to retain the boot space and versatile folding 'Magic Seats'. As well as folding flat to extend the boot from 300- to 831 litres, the seat bases can be folded vertically to make room for tall items in the car.
The Jazz Hybrid will go on sale in the UK early in 2011. Prices, specifications and official fuel consumption will be confirmed before that.
