The world's fastest Vauxhall will make an appearance at the VXR Power Festival, to be held at Silverstone Circuit over the August bank holiday.
The 3,000 horsepower 'Red Victor 3' is a modified version of Vauxhall's original 1967 Victor FD. The enormous power output comes from its 8.8-litre, twin-turbocharged GM V8 engine. The Red Victor team is predicting a top speed of 240mph, which can be achieved in a reported 6.5 seconds.
The VXR Power Festival celebrates a new partnership between Vauxhall's VXR brand and the Red Victor team for the 2011 MSA Pro-Modified Drag Racing season. Festival goers will be treated to site challenges and the presence of celebrities.
"We're sure visitors to the Power Festival will make a B-line for the Victor. We're really looking forward to working with Andy Frost, Red Victor's creator, and his team next year and see this as a great match for the VXR brand" said Stuart Harris, Vauxhall's Group Product Manager.
Vauxhall's VXR Power Events, which has run through 2010 raises money for the Help for Heroes charity, with the two-day Power Festival at Silverstone the summit event.
The VXR Power Festival tickets are priced at £10 for adults.
