The Fabia Greenline II Estate, described by the manufacturer as 'the most environmentally friendly Skoda ever', arrives in UK showrooms this week.
Costing £13,740, the Fabia comes with a three-cylinder, 1.2-litre turbodiesel engine. The Greenline boasts 81mpg and CO2 emissions of 89g/km thanks to improvements in aerodynamics and rolling resistance. It also comes with a gear recommendation system and engine stop-start - claimed to be worth an extra 7.7mpg in city traffic.
The new car also comes with £800 of extra equipment compared with the outgoing model. This includes the stop-start system, ESP, cruise control and a tyre pressure monitor.
The Fabia Greenline II hatchback will be launched in October this year.
