Aston Martin is poised to complete the introduction of its new Rapide saloon as it hands over the first sets of keys to eager customers.
There are owners hungry for the sporting four-door Aston in 125 dealerships in 34 countries and all will be the first customers to drive the Rapide. Aston Martin has been flat out completing the first customer cars at the dedicated Aston Martin Rapide Plant in Graz, Austria.
The four-seat Rapide comes with a hand-built 6.0-litre V12 engine producing 470bhp and driving through a six-speed automatic gearbox. As well as seating four adults, the Rapide has 301-litres of boot space and the rear seats can be folded forward to offer more luggage room.
Aston Martin first showed the Rapide as a concept car at the
2006 Detroit Auto Show and then unveiled the final production model at the
Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2009.
