Lexus will reveal its new compact premium hybrid CT 200h model at the
Geneva motor show. Details are scant, but the hybrid will be very similar in execution to the
LF-Ch concept Lexus unveiled six months ago. So expect a compact hatchback similar in size to BMW's 1 Series and Audi's A3, with a petrol engine assisted by an electric motor.
Although there are no specifics regarding the economy and emissions figures Lexus claims it has created the CT 200h for 'motorists who want to lower their emissions, but not their standards.' That's difficult to ascertain as yet, but the teaser picture the company has produced reveals a nice rear light...
Technically, we're expecting something with performance to equal a conventionally powered 2.0-litre car, but with economy and emissions to rival the best diesels. We're guessing though, as Lexus is keeping quiet about details until closer to its official Geneva unveiling in a couple of weeks.
