Aston Martin has revealed its 2010 updates for the V8 Vantage, which centre on lowering emissions. Many of the other changes are options adopted from the N400 racer.
The 4.7-litre V8 engine's carbon dioxide output drops from the earlier car's 328g/km to 315g/km in the six-speed manual gearbox Vantage. For the Sportshift version, emissions fall to 300g/km. A re-programmed ECU works with revised gear ratios to bring about these changes, though Aston has yet to confirm if these modifications improve fuel economy.
Optional upgrades for the Vantage for 2010 include new 10-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, mesh grilles for the side vents and the clear rear light lenses and side sills from the N400. Inside, buyers can choose lightweight carbon fibre seats that shave 17kg from the overall weight of the V8 Vantage. There's also a new Bang and Olufsen stereo on the options list.
The 2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is available to order now and the coupé costs from £83,191, with the Roadster starting at £91,021.
