Peugeot has announced prices and spec for the RCZ coupé ahead of its debut at the
Frankfurt Motor Show, endowing the looker of a coupé with a surprisingly lavish equipment list.
Three engines are available and two trim levels, enticingly called 'Level 1' and 'Level 2' at present, though we'd expect that to change shortly. Both petrol engines are 1.6-litre in capacity and turbocharged, while the HDI diesel is a 2.0-litre unit.
The lowest fee commanded for an RCZ will be £19,900 for a Level 1 petrol variant in 156bhp guise with a manual gearbox, though that still buys 18-inch alloy wheels, sports seats, dual-zone air conditioning, rear parking sensors, an active rear spoiler and four airbags. An extra £1,100 bags you an auto 'box, and a further £700 (£21,700 in total) buys a 163bhp diesel manual.
Level 2 starts at £22,200 for 156bhp petrol power, rising to £24,500 for the 200bhp version, but for that buyers can enjoy 19-inch alloys, leather heated electric sports seats, automatic headlamps and wipers and front parking sensors. As ever, a raft of personalisation options are available, including painted brake callipers, a carbon roof panel, an upgraded JBL stereo and active directional headlights.
