Hyundai has announced its plans for the
Frankfurt Motor Show, including the launch of the Tucson-replacing ix35. Also on display will be a revised Santa Fe.
The ix35 is a new four-wheel drive crossover vehicle that - like Hyundai's other 'i' models - has been conceived and engineered in Europe. The Frankfurt-based design and technical centres are responsible for the new model, which carries over many of the design cues from the ix-onic concept shown at
Geneva.
Along with styling revisions, the Santa Fe gets updated engines, steering and suspension. In particular it will be mated with the recently-launched Hyundai 'R' diesel engine.
More information about both the ix35 and the Santa Fe will be announced nearer the show date. The Frankfurt Motor Show opens to the press on 15th September.
