It's one of the rarest and most focussed Ferraris currently on sale as it is, but that hasn't stopped the techies at Novitec Rosso getting on with making the Ferrari Scuderia 16M even rarer and even faster. Ferrari will only make 499 16Ms in total before it finishes production, but anyone with the minerals can buy one of the 499 then thrum their moneyed way to Novitec HQ for some serious overhauling.
In exchange for around £40,000 the Scuderia can be converted into one of these: a 686bhp, twin-supercharged fire breather capable of 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and 0-124mph in just 9.6. It tops out at 205mph. And it's got no roof, remember. (Well, it does, obviously, but you know what we're saying.)
Peak power comes in at a heady 8,400rpm and its 503lb.ft of peak torque at 6,300rpm. Safe to say, then, that this is a rev-hungry beast. 'Manic' is probably the best word. The powerplant is actually a conversion of the standard car's 4.3-litre V8, but Novitec has stoked it by way of two massive intercoolers (one for each cylinder bank), a heat-insulated intake manifold, new air filters and fuel injectors and a remapped ECU. All that alongside the two superchargers, of course.
There's a new suspension setup too, which chops the springs for a lower ride height, but adds a hydraulic lift system for the front axle, allowing 4cm of lift for speed humps and things. And, obviously, the alloys are new, available in either 19- or 20-inch diameter depending on how pimped you like to look. Inside, there's a leather and carbon fibre steering wheel with carbon paddle shifters, and the interior can be upholstered in absolutely any colour or fabric you care to imagine.
