Ferrari will showcase three of its latest models at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this coming weekend. The
California, the Scuderia Spider 16M and the
599 GTB Fiorano HGTE will all make their UK debuts at the Festival. Also present will be a selection of Ferraris from an early 166 MM to the 2008 Formula 1 car.
The California is Maranello's first front-engined car to use a V8. The rest of the car harks back to the 1960's 250GT California, although the folding hardtop, seven-speed transmission and traction control system are thoroughly modern.
The Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M was built to celebrate Ferrari winning the Formula 1 constructor's championship for the sixteenth time. Joining the Spider 16M and California in the Sunday Times Supercar Run is the 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE, which features sharper handling than the standard 599 GTB.
Other Ferrari cars on show include a 1956 Barchetta, typical of the company's first production model. A variety of racing machinery through the ages, including F1 and Le Mans racers, will be present and the 2008 championship winning F1 car will be driven by Marc Gené.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from 3rd to 5th July. Entry is by advanced ticket only.
