Kia demonstrated the versatility of its Soul model with yet another concept based on the funky hatchback-cum-SUV. The Soul'ster demonstrates the Soul's youthful, fun side, losing two doors and its roof in its transformation into the convertible concept. Chunky addenda and a front skid plate suggest off-road ability, but the Soul'ster remains a front-wheel drive model. The opening roof section is in two pieces, allowing either the front or rear passenger areas to be opened independently of each other.
A four-seater, the Soul'ster features a neat seat folding system and storage compartments underneath the rear pair to maximise practicality. Kia sees the Soul'ster as the perfect vehicle for taking to the beach or 'social outings outdoors' - perhaps not in
Detroit in January though as it's minus 10 outside...
