For customers wanting a more individual take on the Lotus Elise Project Khan has come up with a series of modifications. Lotus has given its blessing to the project and it is intended to celebrate 60 years of Lotus Cars. The personalisation includes body, interior, suspension and exhaust modifications.
The body modifications include a front spoiler, ventilated front wings, larger side air intake ducts, side sills and a rear boot spoiler. To the untrained eye the changes are quite subtle. Changes to the suspension include adjustable dampers and upgraded springs, which allow the car to sit lower. A set of ten-spoke Project Khan alloy wheels are offered too carrying the original Lotus centre sections and special tyre valve caps.
A range of free-flowing exhausts options offer a performance increase. There is a quad-exhaust system with machined aluminium tips and another option to remove the catalytic converter. Customers preferring a touch of the easy life can specify nappa leather or Alcantara to cover the seats, dashboard and door cards.
To simplify the process of choosing which parts to have customers can choose the 'Styling Pack', comprising body modifications, exhaust, interior, wheels and tyres for £6,500 - plus £1,995 for fitting and painting. There is also the 'Dynamic Driving Pack' including Xenon headlamps, de-cat exhaust system, upgraded engine ECU, Project Kahn decals and suspension modifications for £6,500 plus £495 for fitting. Parts are also priced.
