With the new
Ford Ka on the way in January, Citroen has announced that a dramatically improved Citroen C1 will hit showrooms in January too - not that we're suggesting the French firm's timing is linked or anything...
If you've got your mid-life update checklist to hand, grab a pen and prepare to start ticking boxes. Here we go:
Revised front and rear bumpers? Check
Improved interior quality? Check
Different interior trim? Check
New wheels? Check
Lower emissions? Check
Better fuel economy? You've guessed it.
In fact, the latter two improvements make the new C1 the lowest carbon emitting petrol car on sale in the UK, with a mere 106g/km coming out the tailpipe. It will also return 62.8mpg. Unfortunately, Citroen hasn't seen fit to release any pictures of the new interior, so we'll just have to take its word for it. There's no word on prices either, but expect a slight increase over the outgoing model.
