What?
The Exeo is SEAT's first ever model to fall into the big-number D-segment. It's a hotly contested market sector too, encompassing a wide variety of cars, such as the Ford Mondeo, Opel/Vauxhall Insignia and even premium marques' offerings such as the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4. In fact, the new Exeo is pretty much a restyled version of Audi's previous generation A4, which isn't a bad start in life.
When?
SEAT has committed to putting the Exeo on sale across Europe during the first few months of 2009, with Reference, Stylance and Sport versions available from the off.
Verdict?
Although unmistakably based on the previous Audi A4, the new Exeo is a handsome machine. Its new Ibiza-like lights have been integrated well with the four-door shape and the new interior is in keeping with the rest of the line-up. No doubt it will represent excellent value for money too.
