The UK price for the Corvette ZR1 has been set at £109,000 on-the-road, which GM reckons makes it one of the cheapest supercars on sale in Britain, though with numbers limited to 'single digit' figures per annum, you're unlikely to see our roads overrun by ZR1s any time soon.
Instead, Corvette sees the ZR1 as its halo model. Although it shares its basic styling with the rest of the Corvette range, it is a substantially modified car, not least in the engine bay, which houses a hand-built supercharged V8 that powers the ZR1 to 205mph.
Backing up the company's claims that the ZR1 is more than just a straight line specialist, it currently holds the production car record around the Nurburgring, with an impressive time of 7 minutes 26.4 seconds. All British buyers will be treated to an advanced driver training course to help them get the most from the car.
