The Evora, the first all-new car from Hethel since the Elise, is to attend Lotus's 60th anniversary party to be held at the company's grounds on Sunday, 14 September.
Planned to enter the market early next year, the new mid-engined 2+2 Evora, powered by Toyota's 280bhp 3.5-litre V6, will be on display during an open-factory day, as part of a development story about Lotus's latest sportscar.
Unveiled recently at the
British International Motorshow, the Evora story will be one of a number of events Lotus hopes will attract an estimated 15,000 attendees.
Hethel is opening doors to its engineering, factory facilities and sections of the design studios. There will also be demonstration laps around the Lotus test track as well as a competition to win an insured Elise for six months.
Other attractions include RAF demonstrations and some rare Lotus cars on display including the James Bond Esprit, ex-F1 racers and road vehicles from the company's birth to the present day.
Mike Kimberley, Group Lotus CEO, said "The open day will be a great opportunity for everyone to see the new Lotus Evora and to look around our facilities."
All parking will be on site and tickets are priced at £13 per adult including two children under 16, if booked in advance from
www.lotus60thanniversary.com. Otherwise, pay £15 at the gate, although entry will be subject to availability.
