| All-new model | Hyundai i800 |
Hyundai is looking to go one better than most large MPVs with its eight-seat i800. The Korean people carrier has two seats up front and two rows of three seats behind.
Both rows of rear seats fold and the middle row can slide back and forth to vary load and passenger space. Hyundai says the i800 is more practical than most rivals as it has an 851-litre boot, even with all eight seats in use.
Sliding side doors give access to the rear of the cabin. Inside, the i800 comes as standard with air conditioning, two-tone upholstery and darkened privacy glass. Traction control and ESP are also included with every model.
A new 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine is used in the i800. It puts out 167bhp and 289lb.ft of torque and can return an average economy of 33.2mpg. Hyundai has also come up with a new coil-sprung rear suspension design so that the i800 should not ride like the van it's based on.
The i800 goes on sale on 20 June in the UK and will cost from £19,495.
