| Range updates | Toyota Auris | Auris SR & TR |
Toyota is widening its Auris range with the addition of the SR and TR models. The SR cashes in on the looks and sporting appeal of the
SR180 version, but comes with a standard 130bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine or 2.0-litre turbodiesel.
Aimed at the 'mild sports' market, the SR has the lowered sports suspension and 17-inch alloy wheels of its more potent SR180 sister. It also has the 180's rear spoiler and privacy glass, but performance remains the same as a standard Auris 1.6 or 2.0 D-4D.
Prices for the Auris SR start at £14,495, while the new TR version goes from £12,995. The TR is available with the same 1.6-litre petrol and 2.0-litre turbodiesel engines as the SR, but is also on offer with a 1.4-litre petrol. Standard equipment for the TR includes Toyota's new dual-zone climate control, six speaker stereo with steering wheel-mounted controls, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Both of the new Auris models are on sale now.
