| Range update | 2008 Geneva Motor Show | Lotus 2-Eleven |
It's now both cheaper and more expensive to own a Lotus 2-Eleven, depending which way you look at it. Following on from a successful few months of sales of the most extreme car Lotus currently produces, it is time to expand the line-up to include a cheaper entry-level model, plus a series of tempting Lotus Sport options.
The new basic 2-Eleven comes in at £27,995 and is powered by the naturally aspirated Toyota engine normally found in the back of the Lotus Elise R, so peak power is 189bhp. That enables the 720kg car to sprint to 60mph in just 4.3 seconds and it tops out at 140mph.
An extra £4,495 buys you the Supercharger Pack, which ups power to 252bhp, dropping the 0-60mph time to 3.8 seconds. On top of that there are a handful of option packs that allow buyers to tailor their car to their needs, whether that be the occasional track day with some road use, or hill climbing and auto testing.
