Audi has revealed details of a Special Edition A4 Cabriolet featuring visual and performance upgrades without extra cost. Priced from £29,990 the new car will fit into Audi's S line range using the 197bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged TFSI engine that produces 206lb.ft of torque. In the Cabriolet, it is good for 8.2 seconds in a 0-62mph dash, on the way to its 146mph top speed. The motor is capable of 34mpg on the combined fuel cycle too and produces 199g/km of CO2. Audi says that its CVT automatic transmission performs almost as well as a six-speed manual 'box on the economy front.
The new version of the Audi cabrio will come fitted with lowered sports suspension, promising to add more driver appeal and make better use of its engine - a well proven unit in other models across the Audi and VW ranges.
Building on the already handsome appearance of the regular A4 Cabriolet, the Special Edition will have a number of visual enhancements including an S line black-painted front grille and new front and rear bumper designs, with the latter in the style of an aerodynamic diffuser.
Inside, this A4 uses the usual array of S line upholstery including Pearl Nappa leather seats and a steering wheel trimmed in perforated leather. Further improving the cabin experience are brushed aluminium pedals and Audi has fitted a new Symphony audio system complete with six-CD changer. The Special Edition also has parking sensors as standard. Overall, the new A4 cabriolet Special Edition features £2,035 worth of extra equipment.
