Right, this is it. Honestly, no more. This is absolutely, definitely the last Lancer Evo before the introduction of the all new model we saw in
Detroit.
The Evo IX MR is essentially an uprated
FQ-360, a car we enjoyed testing late last year. Available as a limited edition final production run of only 200 units, the MR benefits from revised, lowered suspension (courtesy of new Eibach springs) and some rally replica 11-spoke alloys. Other than that it's pretty much as you were with the FQ-360 save for a few cosmetic tweaks such as new motifs on the seats and the kick plates and automatic headlights and privacy glass. It is available to order now for £34,539.
So that's it. The legend is laid to rest, probably; to rise again in the shape of the new Evo X later this year.
