Headlining upgrades to the Peugeot 407 saloon and SW (Station Wagon) range are the Sport and GT models. The Sport and GT ranges are essentially the same cars, with differences designed to appeal to a different set of buyers.
Both Sport and GT models can be specified with Peugeot's most powerful diesel engines, which are the 2.7-litre HDi V6 developed with Jaguar and a new twin-turbo four-cylinder HDi engine with 168bhp and an even more impressive torque curve.
GT (previously known as Executive) models are treated to a classy leather interior, in either Mistral Black or Cerbere Red, and a colour satnav system. Meanwhile, the Sport makes do with half-leather Zino cloth/Mistral Black seats. On the outside, the Sport and GT variants stand apart from the rest of the range with body-coloured bumper and side protection mouldings, along with chrome finishers and alloy wheels.
These models are on sale now. We hope to get our hands on one of the new variants before the end of the year, so keep an eye on the
Peugeot Road Tests page for our review.
