Suzuki has released some initial details about its updated Vitara for 2019. It's getting two of Suzuki's Boosterjet engines, both petrol and turbocharged - the 111hp 1.0-litre from the Swift (SZ4 and SZ-T models) and the 140hp 1.4 from the S-Cross (SZ5), ditching the current 1.6-litre petrol unit. The grille and lower bumper will see a revamp with the rear getting LED lamps. Interior quality is up overall according to Suzuki, with soft-touch materials and improved instrument and infotainment displays. The SZ5, the highest spec model, will feature a great deal of safety features such as Lane Departure Warning and Traffic Sign Recognition as standard. Further details such as pricing, fuel consumption and CO2 figures will be revealed closer to the Vitara's launch.
