What's all this about?
Bavarian Volkswagen and Audi tuning specialist ABT has come up with an ABT Power 'New Generation' engine control unit for the Audi RS 3, taking the engine output from 367- to 430hp.
What does that do for the performance?
According to ABT the 0-62mph time with the modified engine is 4.1 seconds and the speed limiter has been raised from 155- to 177mph. The company says that extensive dynamometer and road testing, plus an 'extensive warranty', should give prospective customers peace of mind. There is an 'ABT Power S' package under development for even greater performance.
Is there anything else?
The RS 3 comes with a four-pipe stainless steel exhaust system with black chrome tips measuring 102mm in diameter. Two types of alloy wheels are available, cast or forged, in 19-inch diameter wearing 235/35 tyres. Both types of wheel can be ordered in three colours: Gun-Metal, Silverbullett or Black Magic.
Other options include LED door entry lights bearing the ABT logo and floor mats with the company insignia embroidered in silver.
