A common marketing tool used by Mazda is limited number special editions. The latest is based on the Mazda6 Sport; the Mazda6 Zugara takes its name from the Japanese word for design and is on sale now in UK dealerships.

The Mazda6 Zugara is powered by the four-cylinder 2.3-litre petrol engine producing 164bhp and 153lb.ft of torque. Over and above the already well-equipped Mazda6 Sport, the Zugara gets unique 18-inch wheels, a modified sports suspension (it is unclear exactly what has been modified), a CD autochanger linked to a Bose sound system, a global positioning system and part leather interior.

Only 500 Zugaras will be sold: 300 five-door hatchbacks at £19,000, and 200 estates at £1,000 more. Three colours are available: Velocity Red, Titanium Grey (seen here) or Black Mica.
