Subaru may have moved away from the niche markets to increase sales volumes but it has not turned its back on the more traditional Subaru buyer such as the farmer or country dweller who need a rugged, practical four-wheel drive wagon. The Forester fulfils their needs capably.

Subaru gives the aging Legacy one last shot in the arm before retirement. Changes include some cosmetic tweaks and a revise interior, but the superficialities are overshadowed by the much more significant introduction of the new Boxer diesel engine.
