AC SET FOR STARING ROLE AT LONDON MOTOR SHOW

(24 September 1999 - AC Cars press release)

Britain's oldest car maker, AC Car Group Limited, is set to unveil an exciting range of new products and opportunities for its customers at the London Motor Show at Earls Court in October. On its stand, B2, AC will announce an exciting new relationship with one of the motor industry's greatest names in powertrain engineering that will provide its top luxury products with even more startling performance.

Included in the product line up will be the first full production AC Aceca. The Aceca has been subtly re-shaped since the first prototype appeared last year to produce one of the most exciting yet distinguished full four seater sports coups in the world. Available with two powertrain options, the full production Aceca will offer luxury, performance and value-for-money in equal amounts.

The AC Ace, complete with new 'power bulge' bonnet, also features a new powertrain option that will give it the potential to challenge the fastest luxury sports cars in the world. Earls Court will see the first public showing of the new AC MKIV Cobra CRS. The most affordable genuine Cobra ever, the new car combines looks and performance with Formula 1 technology. The all carbon fibre body - produced by Pro-Tech, a division of Kid Jensen Racing - significantly reduces the weight of the Cobra and also its price, to 38,950. On the Motorsport days, 27th and 28th October, the AC stand will feature a F3000 racing car, reaffirming the joint plans of AC Car Group Limited and Kid Jensen Racing to run a single type racing series for the CRS.

Any AC stand would not be complete without the AC Superblower. At Earls Court AC will display a stunning 'Spirit of Brooklands' Limited Edition Superblower. This British Racing Green Superblower has been conceived in association with the Brooklands Museum Trust and is being built in strictly limited numbers, with a contribution from every sale going to the Trust. Andrew Caras-Altas, AC Brand & Marketing Manager, said "Earls Court '99 will be a tremendous showcase and milestone for AC. With products like the Aceca and CRS now in full production, together with our new powertrain options, AC is looking forward to an exciting Motor Show and to growing sales in the year ahead."
