2018-09-20: Driven: Vauxhall Insignia GSi BiTurbo D

Vauxhall is adding a new 1.6-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine to its Insignia line-up. The four-cylinder 200hp unit will be available in the Insignia Grand Sport and Sports Tourer body styles and in the former can deliver 146mph and a 0-60mph time of 7.2 seconds. It's environmentally friendly too - there's a gasoline particulate filter to reduce tailpipe nasties, it meets Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standards and fuel economy is around the 44.8mpg mark. Inside is a tech-fest as Vauxhall is debuting a raft of new infotainment systems with eight-inch touchscreens in addition to myriad other driver-assistance features. This 200hp Insignia is available to order now with prices starting from £25,610.
