The $200,000 prize for the 1999 Winston went to Terry Labonte. Terry took his No.5 Kellogg's Chevrolet to victory at the Lowe's Motor Speedway last Saturday night. His challenge came late in the race picking up the lead on lap 64 from Tony Stewart and staying in front until the chequered flag dropped on lap 70. Stewart followed home in second place 1.22 seconds behind. This is Labonte's second Winston win, first winning the inaugural event back in 1988. The no-points race still leaves Labonte in tenth place in the standings going into
Round 12 at the same race track this weekend. He trails series leader Dale Jarrett by 367 points!
