The No.2 Miller Lite Ford of Rusty Wallace took a hard earned win in round 7 of the series last Sunday. Starting from pole position Rusty led for more than 400 of the 500 lap race. The closing 17 laps proved more difficult however, as Mark Martin in the No6. Valvoline Ford kept Wallace under severe pressure right up to the chequered flag. This is Wallace's first win of the season and his 49th career win. Series leader Jeff Burton managed to keep his lead but third placed Dale Jarrett has closed to within 52 points of Burton. As ever the high banked Tennessee circuit provided exciting racing.
